Club Debuts Red Tuna Lovers Concept at AlleyCat, Drawing More Than 150 Guests for a 200-Pound Bluefin Carved On Site by Chef Eric Baker
BOCA RATON, FL, UNITED STATES, September 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Red Meat Lovers Club (RMLC), the private dining and business networking club founded by Evan Darnell, raised more than $25,000 for Fuller Center at the sold-out debut of its Red Tuna Lovers Club, held August 26 at AlleyCat in downtown Boca Raton. More than 150 guests turned out for the inaugural event, a collaboration between Darnell and Chef Eric Baker five years in the making.
“Epic is the starting point,” said RMLC Founder Evan Darnell. “We sold this room out, we fed 150 people something they had never seen before, and we sent every dollar of it to Fuller Center. That is exactly what this club is for.”
The centerpiece of the evening was a 200-pound bluefin tuna broken down on site by Baker, served alongside sushi prepared throughout the night at the Sunset Sushi bar and roughly 100 pounds of wagyu carved for guests. A curated open bar, live and silent auctions and the club’s signature raffle rounded out the night.
Neil Saffer served as auctioneer, a role he fills for the club’s most significant “meatings.” Auction highlights included $1,200 for six tickets to the grand opening of Easy Meats in Palm Beach and $2,000 for a private dinner cooked by Baker in the winner’s home, while Centsible Solutions took first place in the evening’s carving bar competition with a $500 winning bid.
Fuller Center extends its gratitude to Stephen Marino, managing partner of headlining sponsor Ver Ploeg & Marino, and United Way of Palm Beach County, who each provided $5,000 to help amplify Fuller Center’s mission.
Beyond the fundraising, the evening served as a recruiting push for Fuller Center’s mentorship program, with more than 20 guests expressing interest in becoming adult mentors. The Boca Raton nonprofit is dedicated to embracing, educating and empowering hardworking, under-resourced families and children so they can reach their full potential.
Fuller Center also recognizes Amy McKie-Billing and Greg Billing with Corsa America Rally for being a key sponsor of this event.
RMLC and Fuller Center also would like to thank AlleyCat, Sunset Sushi, and Neil and Trisha Saffer for their support.
RMLC’s fall calendar continues with “A Meaningful Meating” for Play for Blake on September 18 at Museum 66 South in Delray Beach, and “The Family Feast” at Anthony’s Runway 84 in Fort Lauderdale on October 19.
