Ingenia Therapeutics, a clinical-stage biotechnology company pioneering next-generation vascular-targeted therapies, today announced that it has been nominated for the Prix Galien USA and the inaugural Prix Galien Korea, both in the Best Startup category by The Galien Foundation. The Galien Foundation is the premier global institution recognizing and awarding outstanding achievements of innovators in life sciences.

The dual recognition arrives alongside a defining milestone for Ingenia: its initial public offering on the KOSDAQ on August 18th. Together, the nominations underscore the global momentum behind the company’s proprietary TIE-body and LCIDEC platforms, which are built on a fundamental breakthrough in vascular biology, the direct, ligand-independent activation of the TIE2 pathway to restore the vascular barrier.

“To be recognized in both the United States and Korea is a tremendous honor and a reflection of our team’s commitment to global innovation,” said Sangyeul Han, PhD, CEO of Ingenia Therapeutics. “As a US company listed on KOSDAQ, we are proud to bridge both markets, and these nominations affirm the potential of our direct TIE2 activation technology to meaningfully advance the treatment of vascular-driven diseases, and they strengthen our commitment to bringing these therapies to patients faster.”

Ingenia’s pipeline is anchored by two clinical-stage programs: MK-8748 (Tiespectus), an investigational bispecific antibody (Anti-VEGF/TIE2) advancing into Phase 3 for patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD) and patients with diabetic macular edema (DME) through its collaboration with Merck (known as MSD outside of the US and Canada); and IGT-303, progressing through Phase 1/2a trials across Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea for chronic kidney disease (CKD).
