SINGAPORE, Oct. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Primech Holdings Limited (Nasdaq: PMEC) (“Primech” or the “Company”), a leading technology-driven facility services provider serving public and private sectors across Singapore, today announced that its subsidiary, Primech A & P Pte. Ltd. (“Primech A & P”), has attained the 2026 LowCarbonSG Gold Leader recognition, the highest of the programme’s three recognition tiers, following an approximately 17.5% year-on-year reduction in combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions.
LowCarbonSG is a capability-building programme led by the decarbonisation arm of the UN Global Compact Network Singapore (“UNGCNS”), with support from the National Environment Agency (“NEA”) and Enterprise Singapore. The programme supports Singapore companies in measuring, tracking and recording their carbon footprint as part of their decarbonisation efforts.
Achieving 2026 LowCarbonSG Gold Leader Recognition
The 2026 LowCarbonSG Gold Leader recognition is awarded to participating companies that have made a second or subsequent carbon emissions submission and achieved a year-on-year reduction of at least 5% in both:
- Absolute Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions; and
- Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions intensity by revenue.
Based on data submitted through the Carbon & Emissions Recording Tool (“CERT”), Primech A & P’s combined Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions decreased from approximately 115,006 kg CO₂e for the period from April 2024 to March 2025 to approximately 94,885 kg CO₂e for the period from April 2025 to March 2026. This represents a year-on-year reduction of approximately 17.5%.
Primech A & P also achieved the required year-on-year reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions intensity by revenue, meeting the criteria for the 2026 LowCarbonSG Gold Leader recognition.
Advancing Primech’s Sustainability Strategy
The recognition reflects Primech A & P’s continued efforts to integrate environmental responsibility into its operations while expanding its facility services business.
Primech is progressively adopting more sustainable operating practices, including the transition from diesel-powered operational vehicles to electric vehicles, the use of rooftop solar panels and efforts to improve energy and resource efficiency across its operations. The Group also continues to incorporate smart-cleaning technologies and robotics into its service delivery to support greater operational efficiency.
Primech A & P will continue measuring and monitoring its carbon footprint through the LowCarbonSG programme and identifying practical opportunities to reduce emissions across its business operations.
