Demonstrates rugged computing and mobile technology designed to support transit operations, fleet management, safety and security
IRVINE, Calif., Oct. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Getac Technology Corporation (Getac), a leading provider of rugged computing and mobile video solutions and a manufacturer with advanced in-house capabilities, today announced it will participate in APTA TRANSform & EXPO 2026, taking place October 4–7 in Chicago, Illinois. Attendees can visit Getac at Booth 3452 to explore rugged devices and solutions designed to support public transportation professionals and frontline workers across demanding operational environments.

Getac will be showcasing the ZX80, ZX80W 8-inch rugged tablets, along with the ZX10 and UX10 10-inch rugged tablets spanning both Android, Windows on Arm and Windows operating systems. Designed to fit within the compact confines of a bus or light rail driver’s cab alongside fare boxes, onboard displays and connectivity, these devices are designed to support fare collection, fleet management and other mobility needs across bus, rail and light rail systems.
Getac’s rugged platforms are purpose-built to support a range of public transportation applications, including fleet management, vehicle maintenance, field operations, safety and security, and workforce mobility. With features designed for demanding environments, these devices are designed to provide reliable performance and connectivity for personnel working across transit systems. Getac will also highlight Getac Essentials Suite, a device monitoring solution that complements the tablets without requiring a full mobile device management deployment.
“Public transportation organizations rely on technology that can perform wherever their teams and operations take them, from vehicles and maintenance facilities to the field,” said Larry D’Onofrio, Director of Public Sector Sales, Getac North America. “Agencies shouldn’t have to replace the systems they rely on just to get rugged devices. At APTA TRANSform, we’re showcasing how Getac’s rugged Windows and Android devices, available in 8- and 10-inch sizes, are designed to work alongside many of the fare collection and fleet management tools agencies already use.”
Every fully rugged Getac device is backed by a standard three-year Bumper-to-Bumper warranty covering accidental damage, with multi-year extensions available to protect the device throughout its entire operational lifespan. Getac will be exhibiting at APTA TRANSform at booth 3452. For more information, visit www.getac.com.
