New Skeleton Estate Garden and Fall Festival Market debut this season | Free Parking and Admission
WESTBURY, NY, UNITED STATES, September 8, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Hicks Nurseries, Long Island’s premier garden center, welcomes families back for the 51st year of its beloved Fall Festival, running Sept. 12 through Nov. 1, 2026. This multi-generational Long Island tradition in Nassau County returns with new attractions, festive décor, and the fall favorites guests count on year after year.
All-Access Children’s Wristband
Available for $25 for Advantage Members and $30 for non-members (in-store only), the wristband includes unlimited hay maze access for the day and three activities: a spooky nightlight craft, mum plant decorating, and mystic pumpkin decorating.
The hay maze is also open daily, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., for $8 per person (children ages two and under free). Wristbands and hay maze passes can be purchased online one to two days in advance for pickup in-store at customer service.
New This Year
Guests can explore the all-new Fall Festival Market, featuring four specialty shops: Harvest Moon Market, Boo-tique, Botanical Curiosities, and the Toy Shoppe, along with the new Skeleton Estate Garden, an inspirational yet whimsical display of fall plants and Halloween décor inhabited by a cast of friendly skeletons.
“For generations of Long Island families, the Fall Festival has been a place to celebrate the season and make memories together,” said Stephen Hicks, President of Hicks Nurseries. “As a family-owned business, it means so much to us to see parents who visited as children return with families of their own. This year, we are introducing new experiences and more special events, many of them completely free, to give people a reason to keep coming back.”
Free Fun for All
Admission and parking are always free, along with kid-friendly activities including the animated Halloween story walk-through, corn hole, scarecrow ring toss, Connect 4, mini golf, and countless photo ops among thousands of pumpkins, colorful fall plants, and festive décor all open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Guests can also enjoy live music on select Sundays throughout the festival. A highlight of the festival is meeting Otto the Ghost, Hicks Nurseries’ beloved fall mascot and the heart of Fall Festival since the 1970s, who greets visitors on weekends and holidays from 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
Fall Flavors Worth the Trip
The Country Market offers fall favorites daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., including fresh NY State apples, cider donuts, fudge-dipped donuts, homemade pies, Hicks’ famous fudge, and kettle corn. On weekends and holidays, the Hicks Food Truck serves chicken tenders, hot dogs, and French fries, plus the must-try fresh-roasted local corn.
